Plant 4,450 native trees around Jacaranda Beach in Hồ Chí Minh City
Volunteers are restoring Jacaranda Beach in Hồ Chí Minh City; $400 covers saplings, tools and waste removal.

Jacaranda Beach has been used as an informal dump for years. This March, 52 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 107 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the district council, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
Funds buy saplings, gloves, bags, hire of a skip, and signage.
Where the $400 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $200
• Tools and protective gear: $60
• Waste removal and skip hire: $100
• Signage and educational materials: $40
Every share and every dollar helps.

16% there. I made the first payment toward signage and educational materials. Thank you.
16% there. the plan for native saplings and stakes is now scheduled. Thank you.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($60 in total) I made the first payment toward waste removal and skip hire. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
