Plant 4,300 native trees around Unity Beach in Peshawar
Help us clean and replant Unity Beach before the September planting window closes.
Anywhere in the world455 views
Unity Beach has been used as an informal dump for years. This June, 52 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 122 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the municipal water board, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
Funds buy saplings, gloves, bags, hire of a skip, and signage.
Where the $400 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $170
• Tools and protective gear: $60
• Waste removal and skip hire: $110
• Signage and educational materials: $60
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Peshawar
Thank you. If you're in Peshawar I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Good question.
Sending strength. Great idea, hope you get there. Sent it to 4 people at work. Greetings from Salerno.
