Plant 3,700 native trees around Jacaranda Beach in London
Help us clean and replant Jacaranda Beach before the October planting window closes.
Anywhere in the world1,746 views
Jacaranda Beach has been used as an informal dump for years. This July, 42 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 120 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the city parks department, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
Funds buy saplings, gloves, bags, hire of a skip, and signage.
Where the $1,850 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $550
• Tools and protective gear: $320
• Waste removal and skip hire: $790
• Signage and educational materials: $190
Glad we found this place.

wishing you peace. More neighborhoods should do this. Don't give up. God bless.
take care, Avery. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Love from Los Angeles.
Wishing you the best, Avery. Hope you get there. Thinking of London.
