Plant 3,100 native trees around Union Beach in Rome
Help us clean and replant Union Beach before the August planting window closes.
Anywhere in the world981 views
Union Beach has been used as an informal dump for years. This May, 100 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 56 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the municipal water board, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Signage and educational materials: $175
• Waste removal and skip hire: $460
• Native saplings and stakes: $765
Thank you so much.

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Yaroslav?
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about signage and educational materials, advice is welcome too. Ask me anything else.
best of luck, Yaroslav. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Blessings.
Keep going, Yaroslav. Hope you get there. Don't give up. Love from Aurangabad.
Sending good thoughts. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Albuquerque so I could bring a meal. Take care
