Plant 2,700 native trees around the Cedar hillside in Gaziantep
Volunteers are restoring the Cedar hillside in Gaziantep; $600 covers saplings, tools and waste removal.

The Cedar hillside has been used as an informal dump for years. This August, 95 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 76 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the municipal water board, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
Funds buy saplings, gloves, bags, hire of a skip, and signage.
Where the $600 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $390
• Tools and protective gear: $130
• Waste removal and skip hire: $80
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

best of luck, Büşra. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
rooting for you, Büşra. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Take care
