Plant 2,700 native trees around Cedar Beach in Jakarta
Help us clean and replant Cedar Beach before the November planting window closes.
🇮🇩 Indonesia978 views
Cedar Beach has been used as an informal dump for years. This July, 104 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 108 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the municipal water board, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
Funds buy saplings, gloves, bags, hire of a skip, and signage.
Where the $150 goes:
• Signage and educational materials: $20
• Tools and protective gear: $70
• Waste removal and skip hire: $60
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Rooting for you. Great idea, hope you get there. Love from Los Angeles.
everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in Abuja but we're thinking of you.
Sending good thoughts, Hendra. I hope things turn around soon. After 13 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
your post was clear and honest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Jakarta.
