Plant 2,500 native trees around Acacia Beach in Buffalo
Help us clean and replant Acacia Beach before the September planting window closes.
🇺🇸 United States1,517 views
Acacia Beach has been used as an informal dump for years. This June, 82 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 191 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the municipal water board, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
Funds buy saplings, gloves, bags, hire of a skip, and signage.
Where the $2,800 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $1,300
• Tools and protective gear: $600
• Waste removal and skip hire: $680
• Signage and educational materials: $220
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

sending love. Your post was clear and honest. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 8 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless.
Take care. Looking forward to the next update. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Buffalo.
