Plant 2,150 native trees around the Cedar hillside in Calamba
Help us clean and replant the Cedar hillside before the August planting window closes.
🇵🇭 Calamba, Laguna, Philippines394 views
The Cedar hillside has been used as an informal dump for years. This May, 54 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 149 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the municipal water board, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $350 goes:
• Waste removal and skip hire: $130
• Native saplings and stakes: $195
• Signage and educational materials: $25
Glad we found this place.

So sorry you're going through this, Kathleen. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Pune
rooting for you, Kathleen. I hope things turn around soon
Best of luck. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Riverside
