Plant 1,800 native trees around the Maple riverbank in Lahore
A neighborhood-led restoration of the Maple riverbank needs $200 for saplings and equipment.

The Maple riverbank has been used as an informal dump for years. This August, 76 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 103 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the local forestry office, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
Funds buy saplings, gloves, bags, hire of a skip, and signage.
Where the $200 goes:
• Signage and educational materials: $15
• Tools and protective gear: $80
• Native saplings and stakes: $105
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Thank you all. We're at 38% now ($75). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the nursery and confirmed the amounts.
