Plant 1,300 native trees around the Jacaranda riverbank in Khon Kaen
A neighborhood-led restoration of the Jacaranda riverbank needs $700 for saplings and equipment.

The Jacaranda riverbank has been used as an informal dump for years. This March, 76 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 122 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the district council, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $700 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $400
• Tools and protective gear: $90
• Waste removal and skip hire: $140
• Signage and educational materials: $70

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Tawan?
Wishing you the best. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. I hope June is when things finally get easier
thanks for sharing this. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
