Pioneer Primary School needs a rainwater harvesting system - Esi's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a rainwater harvesting system - we need $550 for materials.
🇬🇭 Ghana370 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $550.
It will serve about 535 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $550 goes:
• Materials: $400
• Permits and inspections: $60
• Tools hire and delivery: $90
Thank you for reading my story.
