Pioneer Primary School needs a community fridge - Luis's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $1,000 for materials.
🇨🇴 Envigado, Antioquia, Colombia506 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,000.
It will serve about 476 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Materials: $780
• Permits and inspections: $85
• Safety equipment and signage: $70
• Tools hire and delivery: $65

Thinking of you. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best.
Shared this with my family. It's not much but it's yours. Thinking of Envigado.
wishing you peace, Luis. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
Best of luck, Luis. Looking forward to the next update. Put this on a community board in Houston this morning
sending love. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My husband and I read this together. Take care.
hope things get better soon, Luis. Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Envigado.
Rooting for you, Luis. Hope this works out for you. We're a small family in Chattogram but we're thinking of you
