Pioneer Park needs a free library and reading room - Nneka's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a free library and reading room - we need $400 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 239 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $45
• Materials: $300
• Permits and inspections: $55
With deep gratitude,
Nneka
