Hồ Chí Minh City
I live with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. My occupational therapist at the Hồ Chí Minh City Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,400. My current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 6 weeks. With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $1,400 goes: • Fitting and training sessions: $45 • prosthetic leg: $1,300 • First-year servicing plan: $55 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Phúc

  • praying for you, Phúc. This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Buenos Aires so I could bring a meal. Take care.

    • Hope you get there. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Hồ Chí Minh City.

      • Thanks for sharing this. Hope this works out for you. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Radom!
