Philipp needs three industrial sewing machines to reopen a tailoring shop
Philipp lost three industrial sewing machines to the demolition of the market and needs $2,750 to reopen a tailoring shop and support the family.

For fifteen years I have run a tailoring shop in Kassel. In January, the demolition of the market took three industrial sewing machines. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Replacing three industrial sewing machines: $1,700
• Initial stock: fabric and thread: $540
• Shop repairs and licensing: $220
• Working capital for the first month: $290
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Hang in there. Shared it with a few friends. After 25 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Good luck, Philipp. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double!
Thanks for sharing this, Philipp. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Buenos Aires.
Keep going. Shared it with a few friends. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless.
This could happen to any of us. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Kassel!
Good luck. Hope you make a strong comeback. Love from Oakland.
your post was clear and honest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best
I hope things turn around soon. Sent it to 32 people at work. Greetings from São Paulo.
Keep going, Philipp. Hope the shop reopens soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Greetings from İzmir.
Rooting for you. Small businesses are the heart of Kassel. Hope you're open again soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Hope things get better soon, Philipp. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
Rooting for you. I hope things turn around soon. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care
Thanks for sharing this. Hope you make a strong comeback. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
