Payal needs a cold-storage unit to reopen a small grocery stall
Payal lost a cold-storage unit to a storm that collapsed the roof and needs $400 to reopen a small grocery stall and support the family.

For twelve years I have run a small grocery stall in Pune. In July, a storm that collapsed the roof took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $400 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $75
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $240
• Shop repairs and licensing: $85
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Sending good thoughts, Payal. Looking forward to the next update. Put this on a community board in Bogra this morning. Take care.
Hope it all works out, Payal. Hope the shop reopens soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best.
Good luck, Payal. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend!
so sorry you're going through this. I hope things turn around soon. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings
