I live with a rare neuromuscular condition. My occupational therapist at Santos General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,350. My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $2,350 goes: • stair-climbing aid: $2,200 • Fitting and training sessions: $45 • Delivery and set-up: $60 • First-year servicing plan: $45 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Paulo
