Paula's kidney cancer treatment fund
Paula is facing kidney cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Paula was diagnosed with kidney cancer in August. The oncology team at the Medellín Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Paula is 50, worked as a bus conductor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Medellín Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,300 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $125
• Household costs while unable to work: $200
• Transport to the Medellín Oncology Institute: $310
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,665
