Paul was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August. The oncology team at Kasarani Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Paul is 27, worked as a bus conductor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Kasarani Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,300 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $270 • Scans and lab work: $200 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $830 Thanks for reading all this. - Hellen
