Patricia needs my taxi repaired to get back to work in San Jose
Patricia drives for a living in San Jose, and a broken gearbox has stopped all income for 10 weeks.

I make my living with my taxi. 10 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $800. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $800 goes:
• Labor charges: $320
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $320
• Towing and inspection: $160
Every share and every dollar helps.

Rooting for you, Patricia. Small businesses are the heart of San Jose. Hope you're open again soon.
Thinking of you, Patricia. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
Wishing you peace, Patricia. Hope you get there. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Takoradi.
Wishing you the best. Shared it with a few friends. Love from San Diego!
Thinking of you and your family. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Dortmund.
Thanks for sharing this, Patricia. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My husband and I read this together
