I live with a rare neuromuscular condition. My occupational therapist at Hồ Chí Minh City General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,000. My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks. With the right equipment I could speak with the people around her. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $1,000 goes: • pair of hearing aids: $930 • Fitting and training sessions: $60 • Delivery and set-up: $10 Every share and every dollar helps.
