Pamela's knee replacement surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After osteoarthritis in the right knee, Pamela was cleared for knee replacement surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Pamela was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in August. The surgeon at Dallas Community Hospital recommended knee replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,900, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,450 short.
my wife has been in and out of Dallas Community Hospital since August. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,900 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Pamela struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Pamela won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,450 goes:
• Physiotherapy sessions: $530
• Travel and lodging for the family: $380
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $540

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Pamela
Sure. The biggest one is physiotherapy sessions, $530. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for looking so closely.
Sending love, John. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from Dayton!
Gave what I could, wish it was more. My neighbor in Metz donated after I showed her your page.
hope you get there. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings
