Paloma was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in June. The oncology team at Iztapalapa Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Paloma is 29, worked as a construction supervisor until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Iztapalapa Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $2,350 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $500 • Transport to Iztapalapa Regional Medical Center: $140 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,710 Ask me anything below before you decide.
