Palate reconstruction surgery for Opio: covering what insurance won't
A scheduled palate reconstruction surgery in October is out of reach without help covering $700 of the cost.

Opio was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in August. The surgeon at Nakuru Community Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,400, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $700 short.
my son has been in and out of Nakuru Community Hospital since August. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,400 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Opio struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Opio won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
