Chiamaka was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in August. The surgeon at Kano Community Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $600, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $450 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Kano Community Hospital since August. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $600 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Chiamaka struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Chiamaka won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.

It's all in the list in the story. travel and lodging for the family is the big one at $55, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. I'll keep the page updated.
