Otieno's school year: uniform, books and a laptop
Otieno earned a place in Year 10 at Arusha Science Academy; we are $110 short on required supplies.

I earned a place in Year 10 at Arusha Science Academy, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the robotics course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $110, which is more than we have.
I love robotics and want to become a doctor. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $110 goes:
• Laptop: $65
• School uniform and shoes: $20
• Textbooks and workbooks: $20
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $5
Thanks for reading all this.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My husband and I read this together. Love from Brampton.
Hope it all works out. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. I hope October is when things finally get easier. All the best.
Sending good thoughts. Study hard! Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best.
your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to Liverpool so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Arusha.
