Zubby is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a nursing degree at Wudil State College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $450.
The registrar has said Zubby can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Zubby has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Zubby would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Zubby isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $450 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $220
• Final term tuition: $135
• Exam and lab fees: $35
• Textbooks and materials: $60
Every share and every dollar helps.
