Wawan is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in social work at Malang Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $350. The registrar has said Wawan can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Wawan has a top-ten-percent average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Wawan would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Wawan isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Malang Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $350 goes: • Textbooks and materials: $55 • Exam and lab fees: $15 • Final term tuition: $280 Thanks for being kind about this.

    • Best of luck, Imam. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
