One semester away: help Wanjiru graduate from Mbale State College

Wanjiru is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a diploma in hospitality management at Mbale State College, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $500. The registrar has said Wanjiru can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Wanjiru has a 3.6 average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Wanjiru would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Wanjiru isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Mbale State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $500 goes: • Textbooks and materials: $25 • Outstanding tuition balance: $320 • Final term tuition: $155 Every share and every dollar helps. - Akello
