One semester away: help Wafula graduate from Kampala Polytechnic
Wafula has worked and saved for four years to study a diploma in hospitality management; a $450 gap now stands between him and graduation.

Wafula is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a diploma in hospitality management at Kampala Polytechnic, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $450.
The registrar has said Wafula can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Wafula has a top-ten-percent average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Wafula would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Wafula isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $450 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $45
• Textbooks and materials: $15
• Final term tuition: $390
