Vanessa is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in social work at the Campinas Institute of Technology, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $450. The registrar has said Vanessa can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Vanessa has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Vanessa would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Vanessa isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the the Campinas Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $450 goes: • Textbooks and materials: $55 • Final term tuition: $280 • Exam and lab fees: $115 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
