Usha is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in social work at Ludhiana University, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $200.
The registrar has said Usha can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Usha has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Usha would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Usha isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Ludhiana University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.

• Textbooks and materials: $50
