One semester away: help Sofía graduate from Guadalajara University
Sofía has worked and saved for four years to study a law degree; a $1,350 gap now stands between her and graduation.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a law degree at Guadalajara University, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $1,350.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a first-class average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $350
• Final term tuition: $910
• Exam and lab fees: $75
• Textbooks and materials: $15
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Updates from Sofía
Good news. Because of your gifts ($104 in total) the plan for exam and lab fees is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Hope it all works out. Hope this works out for you. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Guadalajara
Praying for you. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. My husband and I read this together. Take care.
