One semester away: help Raymond graduate from the Accra Institute of Technology
A first-generation student, Raymond needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a law degree.
🇬🇭 Greater Accra, Ghana1,116 views
Raymond is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a law degree at the Accra Institute of Technology, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $700.
The registrar has said Raymond can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Raymond has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Raymond would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Raymond isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $700 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $340
• Exam and lab fees: $50
• Final term tuition: $310
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
