Mandaue
Mercy is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in social work at Mandaue State College, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,000. The registrar has said Mercy can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Mercy has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Mercy would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Mercy isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Mandaue State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,000 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $570 • Final term tuition: $330 • Exam and lab fees: $35 • Textbooks and materials: $65 I hope life is good to you. - Miguel

Praying for you, Miguel. This could happen to any of us. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too!
