Lovely is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an accounting degree at Calamba Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $250. The registrar has said Lovely can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Lovely has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Lovely would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
