One semester away: help Lata graduate from Howrah State College

Lata is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a computer science degree at Howrah State College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $650. The registrar has said Lata can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Lata has a first-class average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Lata would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Lata isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $650 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $390 • Final term tuition: $185 • Exam and lab fees: $30 • Textbooks and materials: $45 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
