Lata is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a master's in public health at Dwarka University, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $400. The registrar has said Lata can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Lata has a 3.6 average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Lata would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Lata isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Dwarka University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
