Khalid is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in social work at Rawalpindi Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $350.
The registrar has said Khalid can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Khalid has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Khalid would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Khalid isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Rawalpindi Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $350 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $130
• Exam and lab fees: $35
• Final term tuition: $185

Praying for you, Mubashir. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Thinking of Rawalpindi.
This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Cluj-Napoca so I could bring a meal. Take care.
