Kévin is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Calgary Community College, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,600. The registrar has said Kévin can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Kévin has a distinction average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Kévin would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Kévin isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Calgary Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,600 goes: • Exam and lab fees: $210 • Textbooks and materials: $290 • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,100 Thanks for being kind about this.
