One semester away: help Katherine graduate from Birmingham Polytechnic

Katherine is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a pharmacy diploma at Birmingham Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,500. The registrar has said Katherine can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Katherine has a 3.6 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Katherine would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Katherine isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $4,500 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,250 • Final term tuition: $3,000 • Exam and lab fees: $140 • Textbooks and materials: $110 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Arianna
