Jonathan is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a law degree at Lowell Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $5,850.
The registrar has said Jonathan can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Jonathan has a top-ten-percent average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Jonathan would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Jonathan isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.

• Outstanding tuition balance: $2,100
• Final term tuition: $3,350
• Exam and lab fees: $250
• Textbooks and materials: $150
