One semester away: help James graduate from Machakos Polytechnic

James is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a teaching qualification at Machakos Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $950. The registrar has said James can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. James has a 3.8 average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term James would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. James isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $950 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $610 • Final term tuition: $210 • Exam and lab fees: $40 • Textbooks and materials: $90 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Winnie
