Everett is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an agriculture degree at El Paso Community College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $5,400.
The registrar has said Everett can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Everett has a distinction average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Everett would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Everett isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
