Edson has worked and saved for four years to study a degree in civil engineering; a $1,650 gap now stands between him and graduation.

Edson is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at Niterói Community College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,650.
The registrar has said Edson can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Edson has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Edson would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Edson isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Niterói Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $670
• Final term tuition: $850
• Exam and lab fees: $30
• Textbooks and materials: $100

Hope it all works out, Débora. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Love from Dnipro
sending good thoughts. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Niterói
So sorry you're going through this. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from London.
wishing you peace, Débora. Shared it with a few friends. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Niterói
