One semester away: help Deepak graduate from Coimbatore University
Deepak has worked and saved for five years to study a pharmacy diploma; a $550 gap now stands between him and graduation.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a pharmacy diploma at Coimbatore University, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $550.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a distinction average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $550 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $300
• Final term tuition: $190
• Exam and lab fees: $45
• Textbooks and materials: $15
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Keep going, Deepak. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor in Obuasi donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Coimbatore.
Thinking of you. Looking forward to the next update. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. All the best.
