One semester away: help Carter graduate from Leeds State College
A first-generation student, Carter needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a teaching qualification.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a teaching qualification at Leeds State College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a shop assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $4,850.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a distinction average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Leeds State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $4,850 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $2,700
• Final term tuition: $1,750
• Exam and lab fees: $140
• Textbooks and materials: $260

Updates from Carter
Thank you all. We're at 29% now ($1,430). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward exam and lab fees.

Your post was clear and honest. Greetings from Kanpur
Rooting for you, Carter. Hope this works out for you. Don't give up. Thinking of Leeds.
hope it all works out. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 25 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care
