Carolina is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a nursing degree at Baton Rouge University, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,600. The registrar has said Carolina can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Carolina has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Carolina would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Carolina isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Baton Rouge University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,600 goes: • Final term tuition: $1,250 • Exam and lab fees: $90 • Textbooks and materials: $260 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
