He has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $5,500. The registrar has said Carlos can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Carlos has a first-class average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Carlos would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Carlos isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
