Bruno is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a nursing degree at Barranquilla University, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,450.
The registrar has said Bruno can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Bruno has a 3.8 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Bruno would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Bruno isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $1,450 goes:
• Final term tuition: $790
• Exam and lab fees: $90
• Outstanding tuition balance: $570
Thank you so much.
